This is the first big painting I've ever seriously put effort into, really, and I'm pretty happy with it. It's about 14'x18' and was a pain to stitch together in photoshop, but worth it.
It kind of reminds me of my favorite kind of weather; overcast but bright with a balmy breeze, and near dusk. An unusual state that doesn't happen very often where I live, but in these mild grasslands it's always just right, calm and beautiful. Lonely but full of quiet life and contemplation.
I could possibly make prints available, but I don't know if there's much interest...
The colors are fantastic, as is the scenery itself-- and the faces in the mountains give it a haunting, solemn feel. I really like the flowers, though. Not exactly sure why, it's probably the style, but they look lovely!
Plus, the weather bit you mentioned... it really gives meaning and depth to this. Sure, it's great as is, but that personal detail really adds something special to it.
Overall, this is very well done! Your hard work and effort shows!
